During the mission, state officials also promoted Delaware as an ideal East Coast location for tech development as well as a collaboration destination for Israeli R&D efforts. .

The eight-member political delegation met with President Shimon Peres, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, US Ambassador Daniel Shapiro and Tel Aviv Stock Exchange President Esther Levanon.  The group also held talks at the Economy and Trade Ministry, the Israel National Economic Council, DuPont Israel (Delaware’s largest commercial presence in Israel), Teva Pharmaceutical Industries as well as venture capital firms and incubators across the country.  Delaware businessmen also attended personalized meetings with relevant Israeli companies, all arranged by EDI.
