Indiana, a state with strong ties to Israel in the economic, educational and cultural spheres will bring Governor Eric Holcomb to the country for an official visit from May 7-10. He will be accompanied by other senior state executives as well as a delegation of agriculture sector representatives.
Currently 8 Israeli companies operate in Indiana and this trip seeks to make connections that will increase that number further.
The visit also seeks to solidify additional bilateral collaboration through partnerships and MOUs with Israel in innovative sectors such as cyber security, autonomous vehicles, and the biosciences. Finally, the visit will continue to build on the already strong relationship with the Israeli government as Indiana seeks closer economic cooperation with Israel.
While in the country the Governor will meet with high level government officials as well as companies interested in considering locating in Indiana. He will also be hosted at a reception at the residence of the U.S. Ambassador and sponsor a business roundtable luncheon in Tel Aviv for the leaders of Israel’s business community. In addition, Gov. Holcomb will speak at AgriTech 2018, where the Governor’s remarks will shine a spotlight on Indiana’s innovative global agribusiness sector.
He will, of course, also tour Jerusalem, lay a wreath at Yad Vashem, visit the Western Wall and other holy sites.
The visit is being coordinated by EDI which represents the foreign direct attraction interests of the state in Israel.
