Sherwin immigrated to Israel in 1984 from Chicago, where he was president of Controls for Industry, Inc. Prior to founding Atid E.D.I., he served as vice president of Luz Industries Israel Ltd., where he had senior management responsibility for operations, policy development, public relations, administration and international relations. Sherwin currently serves as Chair of the American State Offices Association (ASOA) of Israel. He is a member of the Management Committee of the Israel-America Chamber of Commerce and a founder of the Israel Life Sciences Industry association. A regular blogger for the Times of Israel, he was selected to be Israel’s representative to the US State Department’s 2012 Global Business Conference in Washington, DC. Born in New York, Sherwin earned a B.S. from New York University, an M.S. from the University of Illinois and an MBA from Northwestern University. Sherwin is fluent in English and Hebrew. |

Ben was born in Boston and worked in urban and strategic planning for U.S. health care and information systems sectors. After immigrating to Israel in 1984, he worked in business planning and financial analysis for a solar energy company. Ben's expertise includes project planning, strategic planning, economic analysis, organizational development, business plan preparation and business writing. He has extensive experience in all facets of managing small to mid-size organizations. Ben received a B.A. from Emory University and an M.A. in urban planning from Harvard University. Ben is fluent in English and Hebrew. |

Seth J. Vogelman is the Trade Director, responsible for the daily coordination of local office activities for such markets as Israel, Egypt, Jordan and the Arabian Gulf, as well as additional countries in the region (e.g. Morocco, Lebanon and Pakistan, as well as Sub-Saharan Africa). To this end, he helped to create and maintain a regional marketing system for the promotion of trade. He has travelled the region extensively in a number of capacities. Mr. Vogelman writes and edits The Fortnightly, a bi-weekly overview of the region’s economic and business news, which is distributed internationally. He also is responsible for all of the office's in-house research, including country profiles, market surveys and various on-line and digital presentations. Seth Vogelman is a 1981 graduate of McGill University, Montréal, Québec, Canada, and holds a Joint Honors B. A. in Political Science (International Relations) and History (American). Mr. Vogelman has experience in both the construction field and on collective agricultural settlements, where he was extensively involved in organic/biological agriculture. He is currently working towards certification as a tour guide for the Ministry of Tourism. Seth currently resides in Maale Adumim, Israel. He is married and is the father of four children and two grandchildren. He speaks English, French, Hebrew, German and Arabic. |

Allen oversees investments, mergers, acquisitions, and joint ventures between North American investors/companies and Israeli firms. A lifelong entrepreneur with a wide variety of professional experience— real estate investor and developer, builder, university instructor, columnist, and inventor — his forte is looking at transactions from many perspectives and crafting simple but creative solutions to problems. Allen founded and directs Idahoans United for Israel, which closely networks with other coalitions with similar interests (e.g., AIPAC, CUFI). Allen’s public policy work has been priceless in giving him the skills to bridge political, religious, and cultural differences in pursuit of a common goal. Allen holds a B.A. from the University of Rhode Island, and an M.A. from Northwestern University, specializing in Public Affairs and Communications. An avid athlete who applies sports lessons (e.g., teamwork, discipline) to the business world, he lives in Eagle, Idaho near Boise. |

Mr. Dan Levy is responsible for the cultivation of business opportunities for EDI’s private sector clientele. His primary responsibilities include export development for Israeli firms, cultivation of trade leads and the organization of both incoming and outgoing trade missions, as well as conducting market research and communication facilitation. Dan previously served as a marketing consultant for several Israeli companies and, before joining EDI, was an International Clients Manager in one of Israel's largest banks. Dan holds a BA from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, with a Major in Business Management and Minors in Sociology and Anthropology. Dan formed an innovative wedding band which, as of today, is one of the most successful of its kind in Israel. He is the lead singer and plays several musical instruments, including guitar, accordion, harmonica, drums and piano. Dan is fluent in Hebrew, English and French. |

Aviva assists public and private clients to locate and cultivate foreign direct investment and trade opportunities, focusing on the Israeli market. In addition to market research and communication facilitation, she also assists with the organization of events and incoming trade missions. Aviva has an LL.B. and an M.A. in Middle Eastern Studies from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Before joining EDI, Aviva worked at The Center for Women's Justice, The New Israel Fund and served as a lawyer in the Israeli Army's Military Advocate General Corps. Aviva is fluent in Hebrew and English. |

Gilad Cohen has an extensive background in various aspects of the security field. At the age of 17 he began as a volunteer in the Israel Police Force, where he continued to volunteer for the next 12 years in various roles, including patrols, traffic control, as a youth detective and in investigations. Professionally, he also worked for the Israel Police for eight years, heading development teams and establishing numerous systems, specialized in the field of money laundering prevention and in establishing technological systems, including the largest government database in Israel. Gilad was awarded two national certificates from the Police Force during his service. Gilad also served for eight years in the Israel Air Force in various roles, including commanding more than 900 soldiers. Today, Gilad is the COO of InSight Acoustics, which is developing the world’s most innovative microphone with D4 capabilities, as well as the ability to separate sounds in real-time and forensics. In addition, Gilad established the HLS CEO Forum in Israel and serves as the forum’s chairman and executive director. The forum operates in cooperation with Israel’s largest authorities, such as the Ministry of Economy, Ministry of Defense and the Export Institute. Furthermore, Gilad is a senior strategic consultant for both security and civilian companies and assists many companies in various processes. |
